Philosophy

We provide several opportunities to learn about many elements of the solar industry. Our training provides a great opportunity to be a part of the installation process from beginning to end. Trainees learn through working on real-world solar installations. They are also actively involved in meeting the clients and communities that we serve. This gives them a complete view of the business.

Our vision is for everyone to benefit from a transition to clean, renewable energy. We believe that everyone should be using eco-friendly energy that not only conserves our environment but also cuts costs.

Our ambition can only be accomplished if everyone gets access to solar energy. Solwomen is dedicated to making our employment training options accessible and inclusive of previously underrepresented groups in the solar industry. Some of the people that we seek to uplift with our program include women, persons of color, and individuals who have been impacted by the criminal justice system. We have several training and networking programs.

Programs for Installation Training

Participants in training programs receive hands-on installation training to improve their abilities and expand their job options.

Women programs

It is a program that encourages women to participate in solar. We believe that by creating pathways to technical careers for women, providing national leadership on solar workforce diversity and emphasizing the voices of women of color in the industry, we’re making the solar sector more diverse and inclusive.

Partnerships

We offer one-year placements to trainees from our partners. Pur opportunities allow participants to gain comprehensive and in-depth exposure to several parts of the industry.

Future of the Solar sector

We have developed a program to equip children with both classroom and hands-on solar education. We have a concentration on high school juniors and seniors. This allows them to learn more about solar power and job paths in the ever-growing solar industry.

Students who take placement positions with us leave with an incredible hands-on approach to getting things done. We expose them to the entire solar process to ensure that they know the ins and outs of the solar system.
