Volunteering with solwomem on a solar installation is a terrific way to give back to your community. It also provides an opportunity to learn about solar technology. There is no prerequisite for this position. Our licensed installers will teach you everything you need to know, whether you’re a renewable energy enthusiast, company volunteer, community activist, or college student looking for a meaningful way to spend your spring break.

If you are unable to attend an in-person orientation, we also offer monthly online orientations. To view the presentation, you must have access to a computer and a good internet connection.

You can volunteer with Solwomen after attending an orientation.

While the majority of our volunteer options are focused on installing solar for low-income homes, some of our regional offices also have other volunteer opportunities. Some of these include;

  • Workshops on resume writing and simulated interviews to assist job candidates to prepare for the workforce
  • Outreach team for canvassing to expose families to our various services.
  • Support for special events
