Hope you had a nice summer. We can’t believe it’s come to an end already, but we're pleased with the progress we have made, and the attention we have been getting. Just recently, we had a major international solar company tell us that they have altered their hiring practices as a result of us bringing employment issues to light. That is music to our ears.
Some of our biggest wins this summer have been in our fundraising. We are pleased to announce that the Solar Energy Industries Association(SEIA) made the first corporate donation to Women in Solar, and we named them as a founding member of our organization. SEIA’s support is essential for our success and demonstrates their commitment to diversifying our solar workforce. Thanks to Rhone, Brianna, Zadie, Ebonee, and others from SEIA for their continued support, as well as Carrie Cullen Hitt, one of our industry advisors. We will be hosting a webinar with SEIA on October 7. We will send the registration information shortly.
More recently, Clean Power Finance joined us as a Megawatt Sponsor. We are thankful to Clean Power Finance for their continued support of our growing organization.
As a non-profit organization in its first year, corporate donations are especially important in helping us to get our organization off the ground so that we can continue to move our efforts forward. To learn more about corporate sponsorships, please contact Kristen Nicole atKristen@solwomen.org. All donations are tax deductible.
